The band then decided to play the song again, but this time with the entire crowd joining in. Martin added, “We love you Jasprit. So, we are going to ask him to wait for 15 minutes. It remains unclear whether Bumrah was actually at the stadium or backstage at that moment. Martin’s mention of Bumrah added a fun and memorable moment to the concert, though there was no confirmation of his presence.

The Mumbai concert was part of Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour.’ The band has two more shows scheduled at the DY Patil Stadium on Sunday and Tuesday. They will also perform at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26, with the January 26 concert streamed live exclusively on Disney+Hotstar.
Coldplay’s return to India has been highly anticipated. The band last performed in India in 2016 at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai. Coldplay includes Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion, and manager Phil Harvey.
