Ο Sehwag ζήτησε από τον Vaibhava Suryanshi να παραμείνει γειωμένο μετά τον δεύτερο αγώνα του στο IPL 2025
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has warned Vaibhav Suryavanshi to remain grounded following his IPL debut. The 14-year-old became the youngest player to make his debut in the league and had a memorable first outing where he scored 34 runs. Following the game against RCB, Sehwag advised Vaibhav to aim to play the IPL for 20 years and not be satisfied with becoming a crorepati at a young age.

Sehwag’s advice for young Suryavanshi
Speaking on Cricbuzz, Sehwag claimed that he had seen many players who did nothing after earning fame in one or two games. Citing the case of Virat Kohli having played all 18 seasons of IPL, the ex-Indian batter claimed that Vaibhav should try and emulate that.
“Suryavanshi must aim for playing 20 years in the IPL. Look at Virat Kohli, he started playing when he was 19 years old, now he has played all 18 seasons. That is what he should be trying to emulate. But, if If he is happy with this IPL, thinking that he is now a crorepati, had a great debut, hit a six off the first ball, maybe we won’t see him next year,” Sehwag added.
Suryavanshi managed to score 16 off 12 deliveries, including 2 sixes in the game against RCB. In his debut game, he left everyone awestruck, hitting two international pacers, Thakur and Avesh Khan, for handsome sixes. Typical T20 batting – remove the front leg and murder a whack down the ground. When the spin came on, he looked comfortable, too.
Suryavanshi stitched a perhaps match-winning opening stand of 85 runs with fellow opener Yashasvi Jaiswal.
